The key to a glue down installation of WarmStep is having a thin layer of adhesive directly on the subfloor, laying the mat over that thin layer of adhesive, and then applying a normal schedule of adhesive over the mat, onto which the floor material will be laid. This doesn’t mean using twice as much adhesive, it’s about creating a reliable bond with the adhesive.
